V-Cockpit GPS Lite - All in one (Compass, Altimeter, Speedometer, HUD, ...) App Reviews

Hey all. This is beautifully done output from your GPS, accelerometer, and compass. Its not a game, flight sim, nor is it magical. Just the facts. If youve ever used GPS you already know that GPS wasnt designed for altitude and is notoriously bad about getting good altitude readings. You need signal from at least 4 satellites for starters. Their positions in the sky has huge bearing on results. A lot of times the angles are so shallow that it is tough to discern. I suspect it may work better if you are closer to the equator than I am. Bottom line, GPS altitude is roughly in the ball park. The rest of the GPS data is okay. Remember too that the phones GPS calculations arent as fast as a dedicated receiver. Doesnt update as fast. All that means is you have to wait a little longer for readings to settle in. The graphics are extremely well done. This app looks great! Its fun and works fine for what it is too. For the price you cant go wrong. The full paid for version is worth it too. (the HUD is cool) Enjoy!

I was shocked at how many of you idiots gave this a bad review! I have a 3gs, and it works PERFECT!!! If you have the wrong hardware, STOP giving great apps like this a bad review! If you arent running atleast a 3gs, STOP running these apps! It isnt designed for your stupid iPod, idiots!!!

Works fine on iPhone 4. Little delay on speed but it works well enough.

I am a professional Helicopter Pilot and fling a S-76 helicopter with auto pilot. I love this app. Wile it is not approved for flying I love having it as a back up as it is dead on when flying. It is also. Ice to bring up MPH just for fun, as everything is in knots in the aircraft including GPS & FMS.

This does not contain all of the features of the full version, which costs money. The nerve! Unacceptable.

The speedometer only goes to 230 mph but the pic on the app shows a 4 engine jet that cruses at 500+. Its kind of useless for airplanes and hard to read. Try Dashboard

The best app i have ever downloud! But one thing i wish is a accelerometer so it can say wen there is a turbulance. And also i wish that you can record your flight or whatever your using it for.

Lost sound would not come back when deleted and reinstalled .
